Konsa screed chairs create temporary, adjustable support for a screed rail during concrete slab construction. They are designed to carry a 50 mm scaffold tube used as the screed rail for roller-striker and slab-finishing operations. Chairs are typically positioned at approximately 1.5 m intervals, subject to site conditions and equipment loads. After levelling, the rail is removed, the threaded top section is unscrewed and the surface can be finished by hand.

Manufactured from 32 MPa concrete and supplied with blackened wire ties, the spacers are water-cured for 15 days and dry-cured for a further six days to develop their intended strength. Heavy-Duty Plastic Chair Spacer

Konsa heavy-duty plastic chair spacers support horizontal reinforcement in slabs and precast concrete applications. Their small contact area helps minimise the visible footprint against the formwork, while the concave seat accommodates rebar from 6 mm to 50 mm. Cover heights range from 25 mm to 80 mm. Spacers can be supplied with galvanised binding-wire ties by adding “W” to the product code, and custom sizes are available subject to manufacturing requirements.

Wheel Spacer / Circular Spacer

Konsa plastic wheel spacers clip onto reinforcing bar to maintain consistent concrete cover around vertical reinforcement. The circular design provides support through 360 degrees, making these spacers suitable for columns, walls and beams.
