Hoop iron is flat-rolled galvanised steel strip used for masonry restraint, connecting brickwork to columns and securing roof-truss details where specified. It is available in 32 mm width with multiple thickness options, supplied in roll sizes shown in the specification table. Hoop iron can also be cut to the required length. Confirm the strip size, fixing and corrosion protection required by the structural detail.
